Opti-Rite?
How far will you ship?
My boards seem to be ghosting. How can I repair them?
How much is it going to cost me to ship my order?
Our freight terms are very simple. Whiteboards Etc will pay
the Freight Charges to your loading dock or curb side on all orders totaling $850.00 shipped within the
continental United States. There will be a $45.00 fuel surcharge added to
your order.
If your order includes any board
over the size of 3'x4' your order must ship by common carrier (truck)
and your freight charge for your entire order will be only $100.00 anywhere within
the continental United States on orders up to $850.00. Again this is to your loading dock or
curb side only. If your order is over $850.00 then your total charge is
only the $45.00 fuel surcharge.
If your order does not include any board over the size
of 3'x4' choose UPS. There will be two options in the shopping cart. One
for UPS and one for Truck. Select which ever is cheapest.
If you have any questions about which freight option to select, please
contact our sales department for assistance.

What is your average lead time?
Our normal lead or production time is
about 10 to 15 Working Days. This means that your board will leave the
factory in 10 to 15 working days. You still need to add transit
time to your location. Some of our boards are denoted as "Quick
Ship" items and these units normally ship out in 24 to
48 hours. Quick ship items are NOT guaranteed to ship in
24-48 hours but 98% of the time they do. At certain times of the year, we are so busy trying
to keep up with school orders and exceptionally high demand that even
"Quick Ship" items may be delayed. Summer lead-times
may be slightly longer.
If you have a combination of both
"Quick Ship" and Non-"Quick Ship" items your order
will be held until it can ship complete unless you are willing to pay
the freight for two separate orders. We will not pay freight on
a split order regardless of the dollar volume if you request a split
shipment.

Can we put a RUSH on our order?
Yes you can request that a rush be
placed on your order. There is a fee of the higher of $15.00 or
15% added to your order. In addition, Rush orders must be
authorized by the production supervisor in order to be processed
faster. A Rush request does not guarantee "Quick Ship"
status. Please note that during summer months of
June-September, No special rush orders will be accepted.

What is your damage claim
policy?
Damages
during transit are a common when transporting whiteboards or chalkboards.
However, you can do your part to help prevent it and OptiMA, Inc. will be
happy to replace any display board damaged during transit
if you follow these simple steps and inspect your shipment
for damages upon arrival.
-
Many of our boards are
very large, bulky and extremely heavy. A delivery driver may need
assistance in unloading your units or they will be damaged.
-
NEVER SIGN FOR ANY PACKAGE BEFORE YOU
INSPECT IT.
You must look at the
packages to see if there is any damage. We recommend that you open each
piece regardless of what the exterior of the cartons look like since
there can be concealed damage. Once the driver leaves it is too
late and it becomes your sole responsibility to file a claim. Call the
trucking terminal immediately for instructions or visit the web site
provided to you in our email.
-
If the driver will not
let you open the pieces then fully inspect the outside of each carton
and note any damages to the packaging no matter how small on the bill of
lading such as the following: "Driver would allow inspection prior
to signing. There is Damage to Package, Contents May be Harmed" or
note any obvious damages found, the total number of damaged packages and
description of the damage such as “hole in side of box #1” or “Box #2
Crushed on the corner and board with same damage”. Hold aside any
damaged parcels for carrier inspector. Ask your delivering driver for
local phone #.
-
If you find any damaged
goods upon inspection simply note the item and quantity damaged on the
bill of lading while the driver is there. Then notify OptiMA Inc
customer service at 866-366-1500 at once for a replacement order. You
will need to fax your copy of the bill of lading noting the damages to
OptiMA at 508-393-6688. OptiMA will contact the trucking company for
verification and a replacement order will be processed upon
verification.
-
All claims for damages
must be made to OptiMA within 14 days of delivery. No claims can be
processed after that time. Each freight company will have their own
terms and restrictions on claims.
-
If you do not make note of the damaged units on
the bill of lading during the time of delivery, it becomes your sole
responsibility to file a freight / damage claim with the trucking
company. We can send you a replacement unit but there will be a charge
for the unit including new freight charges.
-
The trucking company is
only responsible for taking the freight to the back of their truck. It
is your responsibility to take the freight into the building. Your
freight charges billed through the OptiMA Companies only cover you to
this point. If you request inside delivery, there is an
additional charge from the trucking company and you are 100% responsible
for these charges regardless of the size of your order. It is strongly
advised that you ask the trucking company exactly what that inside
delivery charge will cover. It usually means inside the door only.
Please note that these are not OptiMA Inc.'s policies but those of most
of the major cargo carriers within the U.S. Your experience may depend
entirely upon your individual delivery person. Most of these drivers
will go above and beyond what they are required to do with a little
kindness and professional courtesy.

How can you remove permanent marker from a whiteboard?
Don't try to clean with any cleaning chemicals...simply re-write over the marker with an erasable marker and let if dry. Now erase and most if not all of the marker should remove from the board. May require second application.

My boards seem to be ghosting. How can I repair them?
How to repair: To remove any build up on the
Opti-Rite® surface we recommend the use of a 50/50 compound of water and alcohol. Clean the surface thoroughly with the 50/50 compound and then rinse with clear water. If the ghosting is very heavy, increase the portion of alcohol in the compound. This procedure will restore the ETFE surface.
