Our High Pressure Laminate (HPL) whiteboards are an excellent alternative to the more expensive Porcelain Steel whiteboards and much better quality and value than the cheaper Melamine whiteboards available on the market.
The HPL whiteboards are not magnetic receptive writing surfaces. They have a life expectancy of 20-25 years under normal use and proper care. As with other whiteboards, the HPL board has a bright white writing surface.
Porcelain steel whiteboards are extremely hard to damage and scratch. HPL whiteboards, while not as soft as Melamine is a softer compound and can scratch over time or with neglect.

These are school-tuff whiteboards that are built with the same trim and 1/2" fiber board backing materials found in the Porcelain Steel whiteboards as well as the exact same trim and marker trays. HPL whiteboards smaller than 4' x 4' will have an aluminum face trim of ½" and marker tray of 1¼" depth and a solid oak face trim of 1¼" wide with a 1¼" deep full-length marker tray.
HPL whiteboards 4' x 4' and larger will have a larger aluminum face trim of 1" and a deeper marker tray of 2¾" depth while the oak facing is 2" wide with a 2¼" deep full-length marker tray.
All of the High Pressure Laminate (HPL) whiteboards ship as a single piece board. The smaller 203 and 304 units can ship by UPS while the rest of the boards are too large and must ship by truck. OptiMA will pay shipping charges on board orders over $850.00* to one location within the Continental United States.
